OK, decision has been made. I'm starting to work up a PhD proposal in earnest now & I'm staying in 14th century England.

Cultish but big. Church condemned it & England never really caught the fervour. More in keeping with continental piety

I need to find an angle related to women. Women always had their own version of popular piety. Much more interesting.
