Ppl get very confused abt double standards/hypocrisy. It's when *the same person* has different rules for groups. Not different people.https://twitter.com/cathyyoung63/status/868380239382097920 …

'How can men today complain abt women-only events when completely different men were OK with men-only events 50 yrs ago?' Really? 😬

Some men genuinely feel oppressed because they don't have the privelage they once had. They can't quite cope with equality.

I've not experienced this but then I've had more privilege than most men because class & wealth & education has most impact.

The discussion went that everything was for girls now and boys are oppressed. Very amusing at the time, but he is very patriarchal.

Things have swung too far the other way, it seems. Do need some focus on where boys are disadvantaged. Not patriarchy tho.

Education more geared for girls but that is being repressed a little with exam only qualifications. Boys just need space to enjoy themselves

Agreed. Let boys be boys. Too much feminisation in primary education
