They say switching from carb/sugar heavy diets to other sources is the fastest way to drop weight. A friend lost >100 in a year w/low carb

My diet is not bad (thought always plenty of room for improvement) but it is that second point my current struggle. I go through phases.

That said, I'm working more on diet atm anyway. Got inspired after listening to Gary Taubes on Sam Harris. Just bought and began one book.

I found the Hairy Dieter books very good. They manage to combine sensible portions, (i.e. not tiny), and bags of flavour
