I am so angry on behalf of my pupper. People are shallow & contemptible. All over him when he was beautiful. Now avoiding him in distaste.

Just had the vet shave them all so we can keep them clean. It's not pretty.
-
I know this is an evolved instinct. It helped reduce the spread of contagious diseases. I'm just really hurt for him. (He doesn't care.)
-
He feels much better for having fresh air on them rather than matted fur. He's all smiley & bouncy. I'm being silly. I know. But still...
-
And the vet didn't charge us which was kind and one man made a fuss of him in sympathy. OK. Maybe some humans are OK. Some. A few. 1 or 2.
-
Hope for a quick recovery - in my experience dogs are stoic in discomfort and amazingly cheerful through pain.
-
He's not going to get better but we hope he has a few happy weeks left. Thanks.
-
Ugh... my sympathies then. Sorry for not having the backstory

Yikes. Is he going to be OK? (Also, in fairness, strangers may worry he's contagious.)
-
Afraid not. Riddled with cancer. Only a few weeks left. But he's still happy right now. (I know. I'm overempathising. He doesn't care.)
-
You’re a good owner, Helen.
-
:) He's an exceptionally good dog. Great privilege to have had him with us.
