Was asked to keep a mood diary. Log what I'm doing & what mood I am in whilst doing it all bloody day. Complete waste of time.

But this would mean you're absentminded. Your activity is not just walking the dog, it's also thinking about (insert topic here).

I'm going to see if I can put in what I'm thinking about rather than what I'm doing but that presents its own challenges.

I've tried this. It's impossible to catch it all because minds are so fast. But tracking highlights, and simple awareness has been useful.
