It is ironic that the Dawkins generation of atheists feel need to ridicule and challenge those who do have faith #atheistevangelism #bbctbq
But religion doesn't own trying to persuade people of your point of view, does it? This isn't the problem.

Agree, it doesn't. My point is that many Dawkins atheists object to evangelism but do it themselves. I don't mind, just find it ironic.
-
I don't think they object to people making arguments. They object to the argument itself.
-
Not my observation, but as I say, I don't mind them making the argument. I just find it ironic that modern day atheists seek to convert.
-
Why? It's really not trying to get others to agree with you that's the problem. It's whether what you want them to agree with has any merit.
-
It's specifically trying to get ppl to accept a god as real that ppl have a problem with & this is specifically coz doesn't seem to be true
-
It's not a philosophical or ethical commitment to opposing any attempts to get anyone to agree that anything is true.
-
What is the truth? p<0.05?
-
That's what we'll be making arguments for until our extinction, I suspect, and this is a good thing. I doubt you disagree.

I seem to spend my life trying to convince others of my political and academic and ethical arguments.https://twitter.com/HPluckrose/status/674915375616761856 …
