People have free choice and can choose to pursue their own happiness, but that doesn't mean it's the best decision for all parties.

Do you think staying at home, feeling miserable, frustrated and unfulfilled because you have to do it, helps the kids?

You've missed my point. Helen said "They are happy coz they chose this". Pursuing individual happiness isn't the be all and end all.

Personal sacrifice has to be made to provide others (children in this case) a better chance at a fulfilled life.

I do not believe for 1 second that all women should be SAHM. Not at all. Mrs Lotak will go back to work after baby Lotak is born.

I think Helen implied it. "They are happy cos they chose this". I read that as "happy cos they chose their careers".

Whether or not the kids are happy to have a stay at home mum varies. I wasn't, tbh. It wld have been ok if it had been my dad tho.
