      Premiums would apply to any woman, married or not, as the odds are that she will cost more in the future.

      So yes, higher cost for women would not affect heterosexual couples (men's cost would go down by same amount)

      Single women would pay more though (even with kids) due to pre-existing condition of being female.

      Single women who never have children would also pay more, even if they never use the “extra” care.
