      If he's an academic, he should know that you can't proscribe terms in academia. You can only describe what you mean by them.

      Well Sadly it is. My first employer once said to me; All can study & graduate. Only a few are good at what they do. That's the reality today

          One girl I had to be in a group with & her response to 17th century poetry was 'It's a bit old-fashioned.' She teaches English now.
