eg 'Paki-shop' often indicates awareness corner shops commonly owned by Pakistanis by ppl of lower status than shop-owners.

Still potentially offensive coz 'Paki' often used as a slur so don't do it. But 'you are a shopowner' is hardly a slur.

Yes, that would imply a negative bias but I think you can make racial assumptions that aren't negative.
