That's an emotional reaction. We don't make enough doctors and engineers. Those are the facts of the matter. Also I'd like to work abroad.

No, why don't you change education policies to get young British people into those positions? Rsther than create a cycle of dependency?

What's stopping them? The opportunities are there now. This is how the world works. As a medievalist, my skills sought after in the US.

Do I have to stay here now? What about the 5.5 millions Brits living abroad? 1 in 10 of us? Do we all have to come home coz immigration bad?

Or do we expect to be able to say that its OK for Brits to be immigrants but not OK for anyone to be an immigrant here?
