I'm starting to see this comes down to personality type. Some people like to live in a fog of possibilities & narrowing them is unsatisfying

My friend said 'I don't need to know the answers' &what she meant was 'I don't want answers. I like the illusion of choosing my own reality'
-
Which is fine to a certain extent. If you can own it & not insist everyone else refrain from seeking answers or that there are no answers.

No-one should be compelled to accept an objective reality exists & that the best way of knowing things about it is evidence.
-
And usually ppl who dislike this idea do still accept their children need to eat & receive medical care & other important reality things.
-
They can still be responsible adults & they do engage with the world on an assumption that reality exists whether they admit it or not.
-
They're just very annoying to try to have philosophical conversations with coz 'We can't know anything' ends meaningful conversation.
