And utterly dependent on each other in a way we're not now. Housewifery really was a full time job just to have food & clothes.

Yes. I thought it was interesting because the people who don't seem to be able to cope as well, claim they are oppressed.

Or an absence of real issues to deal with. I doubt we'd have all this if there was a war or famine going on.

Yes. Of course. But I think Liberalism and individualism would suffer during such times. Freedom in the broad sense, yes.

Yes. I was pondering if too much freedom could possibly have the same effect. A possible explanation for the political climate, as of late.
