Curious how this is so far from many people's thoughts. All responses about what women "should" do. Like they're Martians, or something.
Iran is the non-US world & the men are protesting women's lack of right to choose so I'm realy not sure what you're getting at.

I'm glad there are men protesting the fact that women can't choose to wear the hijab. What will happen though when the women also so choose?
-
They get prosecuted. That's what the protest is against. That law.
-
So basically pointless. Because there isn't a law is there? There's a religious decree that's unlikely 2 b changed by millions that adhere.
-
Yes, there's a law. They are protesting the law. They want to change the law. http://rarehistoricalphotos.com/women-protesting-hijab-1979/ … Part of this: http://mystealthyfreedom.net/en/

Religious decrees can be made but shld be able to be ignored. The Iranian law is for all women believers or not.
-
You might think protesting unjust laws are pointless and you might be right but the alternative is accepting them.
-
We live in a world where Saudi Arabia gets voted onto the UN's women's rights counsel. I just don't see how this protest does anything.
-
So, women shouldn't protest forced veiling in Iran because it won't remove Saudi Arabia from the UN Women's Right's Counsel?
