That's just about conf. bias. We shld try to avoid this but in order to change mind when warranted. Not to believe contradictory things

By 'rejecting contradictory information' I mean recognising that they can't both be true & wanting to discover which one is true.

Yes. That's the problem. It's not indicated by refusing to accept contradictions. That can be done in pursuit of truth or maintaining belief
