He's right to say some ideas of postmodernists interesting. I like Lyotard on language games, Foucault's panopticon & Derrida on Augustine.

Speaking of identity politics: I've read little bits here and there that seemed to indicate that they are only superficially postmodern.

They're human. We're a tribal species. Its postmodernism which has produced a rationale for them the liberal left can justify.
