No, it doesn't. There's a bit OKing lying for self-protection in the Shia tradition. So does Judaism & most secular systems of ethics.
Yes, its a Shia idea which allows people to lie when in danger, deny they are Muslims to save their own lives, pretend to support dictator.
When Muhammad's supporters were under duress, they denied their faith & saved their lives. This is seen as OK in those circumstances.
This was adopted by the Shia who were often persecuted for their faith. You can just deny being Shia if under duress & in danger of harm.
Jews have a similar rule in which dying seen as more sinful than lying. They'd deny being jewish & eat bacon to prove it during Inquisition
Equally, secular ethics would see it as excusable to lie to save your life. Eg, pretend to be Muslim if non-Muslims threatened by Islamists
There's certainly no requirement to stand up for LGBT rights at risk of censure & possibly violence from far-right Muslims.
