Saddens me that this was also a view held by contemporary Orthodox Judaism even as early as the 1930s. Thankfully, this is long gone now

A speaker had a talk about this in Synagogue last year. I can't remember the answer enough to say what it was. But it wasn't a good reason

Something like "they will learn the laws and work around then because they are cunning". Something that seems nonsensical today.

That's pretty much what I write about. How women learned the laws and worked round them. Coz the laws were crap for them! Own it! Proudly!
