Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm for a society which supports people living full lives & helps them deal with accidents.

it only helps if the mom-to-be is capable of stepping up in time. If she's selfish enough to abort, she'll probably be a shit mom regardless

i know great parents who have had abortions. waiting until the right time and person is not selfish at all...it's what's best for children.

it's what's best for the kid who survives their incompetence, but I don't give brownie points for being a good mom only when it's convenient

I didn't have a child until I was nearly 30 because it wasn't convenient before that. I wasn't ready. I'd like to think I am a good mum tho

waiting isn't the same as aborting an inconvenient kid, but I know a lot of ppl don't see the abortion as a failed chance to be a good mom

Intuitively, no. Emotionally, no. Factually from perspective of the potential person, its exactly the same. If that's where ur ethics are...

reminds me of dudes who are deadbeat dads to first kids but good dads later + say they weren't ready but really they chose not to get ready

That's right, yes. I chose not to get ready. I wanted to do other things. Didn't want a committed relationship. Wanted my life to myself.
