Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I'm for a society which supports people living full lives & helps them deal with accidents.
I don't think you can be considered to have failed a chance if it wasn't something you were aiming to succeed at.

you can cop-out of any moral obligation with that logic (I wasn't aiming to be a hero so I didn't call the cops when I saw the crime, etc)

oh I know we disagree on the fundamentals here, and that's ok. I know my take only applies to me + how I define a good parent, etc.
