I know this and yet I can neither stop talking about religion, liberalism & feminism or become blase about being called evil & stupid.

Well, I think the latter is at least possible whilst the former certainly isn't. I do admire people who seem to have this ability naturally.

Me: I seem to have a personality type that's unable to let anything go. Confrontational? Tenacious? Analytical? My dad: Bolshie.
-
But I don't subscribe to 'Least said, soonest mended' in any area of my life. I don't think things mend but fester. I'm probably wrong.
-
But I like other people like this too. Nothing is more infuriating than trying to mind-read what someone else's problem is.
-
I'll always tell everyone what my problem is! You're welcome.

But no, not really a good thing. Constantly annoyed about something. People have suggested meditation but its just so boring!
-
Does anyone know of any psych books about learning to let things go, pick battles, not feel the need to have opinion on/ argue abt everything
-
I tried reading The Tao is Silent about not getting annoyed & argumentative about everything but it made me feel annoyed & argumentative.
-
But I don't think I'm a contrarian. I get irritated by ppl who like argument for its own sake. I just want things to make sense.

Well, I find people still tell you those things, regardless. But you can either ignore them or argue with them, that's very true.
