It'd be easier if you just watched it than for me to try to explain via twitter. Radical ideas and concision don't mix well, unfortunately.

I'm not going to watch a 30 minute MRA video on whether women were historically oppressed. I have studied this in a bit more depth for yrs.

Helen is one of the most reasonable and educated voices you're likely to find on gender-Twitter. Just sayin.

And as Karen Straughan is the MRA primarily responsible for the "Saudi is gynocentric" line, her material is relevant to your point.

I have found Karen to generally be one of the best voices of the MRM and must confess I found that quote of hers sad and disappointing (1)

Which quote are you referring to? That all cultures, including Saudi, are gynocentric? It seems obvious to me that they are.

She had a thing on HBR where she talkes about Saudi being gynocentric...said something like the women cant drive so men have to for them

The person I spoke to said that it was a privilege for women to leave driving & other responsibilities to men & they chose to embrace it.

Yeah, that is something I recall hearing Straughan try to argue. Unfortunate.
