The first sounds pretty loony to me. I've never heard anyone actually say that, though. Perhaps I'm not reading/viewing the "right" MRAs.
I know she doesn't think oppression applies. I know she thinks there are different duties and privileges & it works in a complementary way.

There are a lot of very good analyses of the pros & cons of patriarchy for both sexes & how it played out in practice.

I write about the ways in which women negotiated authority & autonomy for themselves within systems that ostensibly denied this.

I know quite a lot about the burdens it placed on men too. For many couples it worked. For others it did not. Coz people vary.

When looking at a system, we have to look not only at the best case scenarios but at the worst abuses it allowed for & then fix that.
