      It doesn't take meanings of abledness/disability for granted, asks how they are constructed, and it questions the "abled gaze".

      Hmm. I find this kind of thing an interesting thought experiment but there is also a reality about bodies & what they were built to do.

      So, it is alarming when eg deaf parents decline hearing aids which wld enable children to hear on the grounds that this diminishes deafness

      From a universally liberal perspective, I would find these kind of explorations a personal interest which is neutral ethically.
