True. I wouldn't call it a religion so much as a comprehensive worldview/knowledge claim. Similar but different.
And that its a very important thing to get right but I'm still not that different to you. We probably share most of our values.

Indeed. Here's the point: non-belief in God is a positive claim,i.e."I can have true knowledge about reality," or, "I have a working mind."

How is that the point? I don't believe in any god. One might exist. It doesn't affect anyone else & I support religious freedom.

If you believe in a god, this is probably more important to you because we are motivated by the things we do believe in.
