There is a positive minefield around asking women their opinion or to further explain an idea of theirs which is harmful.

For me, being frequently asked my opinion or to explain my ideas further by men contradicts claim that women's views are routinely devalued.

I think this is a terrible attitude which, if taken to heart, only removes women from the conversation.

Its one thing to be too busy to respond or to feel that someone lacks basic information that cannot be explained simply.

In those situations, its easy to say that and refer people to sources politely. Even ignoring is better than 'How dare you ask me questions'
