Seems like the author offers an abstract agreement w equality but hates any action to promote it.

Seems difficult. Can't talk about sexism in culture, can't talk about rape, avoid "slurs," etc., etc.
I mean I suppose it's possible the author is carrying a flame f paid maternity leave, but does that seem likely?
