I knew this but thought it was for the reason they debunked - that most other mammals float coz of their shape.

Apparently it could be cos mammals tend to have large lungs and subcutaneous fat.

That was what I thought. That they're essentially flotation devices but it goes on to say its more about movement.

That their normal walking movements also work in water whilst ours don't!
