But this is to miss the ethos of postmodernism which rejects Marxism for same reason it rejects liberalism, science & reason.

Yes but IIUC intersectionality goes beyond postmodernism to set up a 'class' view of society based on the 'progressive stack'

Think the critique is that they end up back at what's effectively a form of Marxism, whether or not they accept that label.

I think that critique is wrong and comes from people whose main issue is Marxism. The underlying ethos is totally different.
