Despite the obvious problems with Twitter, I've found think it more of a help than a hindrance to testing, adjusting & changing my ideas.

There can be echo chamber problems, obviously, but only if you cultivate them. It's equally suitable to providing the opposite arena.

In real life, I'm surrounded by academic lefties & largely unengaged centrists for the most part. Very limited range of views & only English

I can read a lot of clever, knowledgeable ppl writing abt politics, religion, feminism etc but this is also limited & often a bit detached.

I like Twitter coz it gives me access to ppl not on one small patch of my little island & most arent academics or political journalists

And its helpful having such a variety of ppl w different views following me coz then I anticipate different objections.

I admit I used to do a bit too much looking for people to be outraged by but finding ppl with very different views who aren't nuts is great
