This isn't Twitter. Arguing is not part of your job. Nor is telling people what you think of their manners. Diplomacy matters. Let. It. Go.

It's odd coz I worked for years with adults with challenging behaviour due to brain disease or damage & had reputation for being unflappable
-
However, give me an adult with a perfectly functioning brain & a desire to be a condescending or obnoxious twat & it's quite different.
-
Why is it I can cope with ppl calling me a 'fucking stupid bitch' & swinging chairs at me but not people being condescendingly rude?
-
I think its a different sort of challenge. With the first group, they're like this with everyone & my goal is to win some trust & reduce it
-
With the second, its intentional & personal coz they want to show they're better than me & my goal becomes testing this claim.
-
Because when ppl actually are better than me at whatever we're doing (and obv many are) they don't tend to feel the need to be arseholes.
-
Those who do feel a need to be condescending & rude are usually those who feel threatened & fear they might be inferior.
-
So maybe, I should also feel some sympathy for them. But I don't. Fuck off. Speak to me civilly like a decent human being.
