When I was a kid, the rule was that the sitting room belonged to the grown ups & kids played & made noise in their room. Not so, anymore?

Not sure how I let this happen but my sitting room is always full of kids & video games & YouTube & noise & I escape to the study or bedroom

funny to read this. I know British houses have seperate rooms. Dutch houses don't. I'm never alone. I send them to their bedroom

Not sure what you mean? We just have one big room downstairs and I'm the one who ends up in the bedroom.

I should start doing this & using my own sitting room. Usually in study or bedroom.
