When I was a kid, the rule was that the sitting room belonged to the grown ups & kids played & made noise in their room. Not so, anymore?

And I hate Skype cos then you can have kids round & not know it. Wander in my underwear & find a 12 yr old looking at me from a screen.
-
OK, that's never actually happened but it could do! Have told child if she has a friend on Skype, stay with the tablet!
-
just a friendly tip. Put tape in front of all the cameras of your pc/laptops etc. by default. I do.
-
Its my daughter's. She wants to see her friends.
-
ok. But after that. Tape it. Cameras can be turned on by others. On moments she's not talking to friends.

funny to read this. I know British houses have seperate rooms. Dutch houses don't. I'm never alone. I send them to their bedroom
-
Not sure what you mean? We just have one big room downstairs and I'm the one who ends up in the bedroom.
-
you have sitting rooms and playrooms right? Or is this a typical BBC thing and I'm misinformed?
-
Bigger houses often have two rooms downstairs but more likely to be made a dining room. Don't know anyone w/ a playroom.
-
Ah, ok. I sometimes watch the BBC housing programs. They mention playrooms, so I just assume they have this. XD
-
Would be nice!
-
I agree. I was always a little jealous of this. ;)

Ah. I made a new room for the kids to play Xbox and watch Netflix. We still have an adult and grown up programmes only room.
