how should schools verify that a kid gets to be an exception to the dress code due to their religion?
Its not asking for extra rights. just the same ones as religious people have.

I think it is. If religious ppl are allowed to wear headscarfs, non-religious ppl shld be. Same plainness or colour.

If religious ppl can require special diet to be catered for, so should non-religious ethical diets.

That may be fair, but not within our current const. A school MAY accommodate a vegetarian, but doesn't have to.
