Sex offenders are the problem, not men. Islamists, not Muslims. Homophobes, not straight ppl. Misandrists, not feminists etc
Majority of sex crime appears to be committed by a small number of recidivist offenders rather than a cultural norm.

and most crimes here go unreported and aren't prosecuted because the victim is frequently held at fault. She should be careful.
-
Yes, sadly that is true. But I'm not sure that's a gendered problem. Men report sexual assault even less espec. when by women
-
if we include prison statistics most sexual assault against men is perpetrated by other men.
-
And in female prisons most sexual assault against women is by other women! But I accept men commit more sex crime.
-
but sexual assault statistics among men only become comparable to sexual assault among women if we include those statistics.
-
More sex offenders are male. There is no doubt about that. Vast majority of men still are not sex offenders tho.
-
Which is why its counterproductive & alienating to make 'men' the problem.
-
it isn't just rape that makes women feel unsafe. Sexual harassment and generally being treated like property is also a problem

except in the US, where the majority seem to happen as date rape on college campuses. 1/3 of women @ my Alma mater reported.
-
Women are less likely to be raped on campus than generally. Criteria very dubious. Sex whilst drinking alcohol included.1/2
-
..but then only asked women. If men had been included, there'd probably be higher number of male rape victims of women.
-
men reported too. Far lower instances, but not nominal.
-
Surely, 1 in 3 men have had sex whilst drinking? I know millennials drink less but still common activity on campus dates.
-
while drinking isn't the same as being passed out and gang raped by a fraternity or football team.
-
No, that was what was so problematic about the campus surveys. Just said 'while drinking.' If yes, included as victim.

like it's her responsibility to curb the sexual behaviors of men. And that is oppression.
-
Victim blaming is horrible but do we, as a society, believe men & encourage them to come forward more than women? Don't think so
