Jesus, this test is crap. The answer I'd make to most questions is 'some do' 'to some extent' or 'in some situations' but option is not therehttps://twitter.com/D_A_M_B/status/834470797465047044 …

"Women shld be cherished & protected by men' is not a yes or no. Do we have a right to this from every man by virtue of being female? No

Is it a lovely thing to be cherished & protected by men? Yes, provided it's the men you love back & feel equally loyal to & not smothering

This whole 'being protected' thing is made unnecessarily complicated & gendered & ideologically loaded. I am a fiercely protective person.

Of course, it is necessarily gendered in some ways. If I am under physical attack from a man, I'd probably need & appreciate male assistance

This has never happened tho. More often attacks on me are verbal & I am well armed to defend myself & others, male or female.

My husband once asked a stranger man to 'take it outside' in a pub coz he'd backed a woman into a corner & was yelling abuse in her face.

He felt the need to protect a woman he didn't know in a situation he didn't know simply coz he could & she was in danger & cowering.

Was this right or wrong. I tend to think to think it was right. I hope I'd try to stop a woman endangering a child at risk to myself.

Course removing the man from the pub non-violently would have been an even better response but he removed himself rather than fight so good.
