Ethel, tho the least interesting of my pets due to being essentially a rock with legs, can make her grumpy presence felt throughout the house

You'd think she'd be an easy pet but actually she's expensive, demanding & has a difficult & obstreperous personality. The face says it allpic.twitter.com/0V5B8mYqpf
-
Have to admit, I didn't want her. I inherited her & then had to spend much time researching and then a fortune on housing her properly.
-
I'd wonder if she perhaps sensed my resentment & limited affection for her if she showed any indication of recognising me as a living being.
-
I was more fond of her brother who was an easy-going turtle who didn't get PMT (obviously) & didn't swear at me every time I picked him up.
-
Visitors to my house find it relaxing to see her swimming about her ludicrously expensive tank with its ludicrously expensive equipment.
-
I tell them it would be much easier & cheaper to just have a wide screen playing a video of turtles swimming about on a continuous loop.
-
So if anyone wants a middle-aged turtle with an obnoxious personality complete with tank, filters, lamps, heaters etc, just let me know.
-
I'm only half-serious here. I took her on due to love for her previous owner, my friend, who died nearly 20 years ago.
-
She's my responsibility. However, if anyone with knowledge about & experience of caring for turtles did want her, that would be lovely.

Seriously though will you let them hatch ?
-
They're not fertilised. She's on her own. Just an ovulation.

What will you do with all the turtle eggs ? Make little omelettes?
-
Is that a no?
