Sure, but I think it's fair for women to consider not prioritizing the assault stuff higher to be a deal killer, right?

Ppl can make their own rules. I'd think more of someone who prioritised the effect his promises would have on the US & the world.

Sure, but that doesn't mean it's ridiculous to point out the absurdity of that part of the piece.

I wouldn't date a w who voted for Trump because I prioritize critical thinking. The idea that that fact helps Trump is absurd.

I think it was more the vilification of Trump voters & tendency of liberals (my side) to insistence on complete agreement.

To be clear, I don't find the article absurd like he did. I consider T voters absurd, but I think the NYT piece is accurate.

Basic psychology. Vilifying ppl for a decision makes it harder for them to admit or even recognise it was bad one.

I agree that villifying does, but mockery should still have a place, I think.

How will that help? I mean, its fun, but will it help them turn away from Trump?

You don't believe mocking stupid/abhorrent beliefs can ever change minds? I actually do. Doesn't satire do this?

I do believe it can. On a macro level. I don't think mocking ppl makes them change their minds.

I wasn't clear, but your distinction is correct. Mock Trump. Not his supporters.
