I do not advocate a principle of 'centrism.' It entirely depends what the centre of any issue is, whether I am in favour of it or not.

Trying to see other views/find common ground/compromise is a good approach but has to be done according to principles, not be the principle

Or we get 'slavery is sometimes OK' 'Vaccines sometimes cause autism' etc.

The reason I think a strong, moderate political centre is a good thing is because I think this is the most reasonable, liberal position now
