        And that really is at the core of it. You lose personhood for blackness, Asianness, femaleness, gayness etc. Too high a price.

        I and many others find it deeply conservative. Adolph Reed Jr (US black marxist) claims it is a bourgeois class politics.

        I said the same thing. Its for a privileged class and it results in a form of collectivism which is usually conservative.

        I tend not to go into class too much. The old-school far-left is still there but I'm more concerned abt the identitarian left.

        I did it as usual in footnotes on a word doc & sent it to @areomagazine. Not sure how they transferred them.

        ta; I use zotero for my citations, and at the moment as stuck with inline word-date ones. Ok for an essay, ugly on a web page
