Keep seeing things about Christians being oppressed by rules banning certain speech about sexuality & gender identity.

I disagree strongly with what they want to say about this but also with stopping them from doing so.
-
Their framing is hard to sympathise with. Not 'We must be allowed to speak coz freedom matters' but ' coz our views are a matter of faith'
-
That doesn't work coz the ppl trying to stop you speaking are also motivated by deeply held beliefs they consider 'sacred.'
-
Then the only argument you're left with is 'my beliefs in God are better than your beliefs in LGBT equality' & that won't wash in the UK.
-
Much better strategically to support freedom of speech for everyone than 'Christians are so oppressed' in country with it as state religion.
-
Obviously, this is much better ethically as far as I'm concerned too but thought I'd point out the foot-shooting.
-
Please notice this censoriousness is affecting everyone &care abt them too rather than claiming unique oppression & saying Jesus foretold it

I support *anyone* who has something to say and doesn't want to limit others rights to criticise.
-
I wouldn't say I'd support them, but its always helpful to know what you are dealing with. Let them out themselves.
