Obviously it's ideal if someone who suddenly realises they are wrong & the other person is right says 'I've realised I'm wrong & ur right.'

What's the point of going back and trying to prove that they actually didn't and have now changed their mind?

Maybe occasionally there's a point but more often better just to say 'Oh, we must have had crossed wires. We actually agree'
