. @HPluckrose how do I chose not to listen when this abuse is part of the school culture? That's Hate Speech & it is .as bad as any punch
-

-
That's harassment and bullying and not remotely what is defended under free speech.
-
some say it should be in Australia, trying to remove our racial vilification laws
-
Under free speech, talking abt the expression of all & any ideas, not the targetting of individuals for harassment & abuse.
-
what about the targeting of whole groups for abuse in the guise of free speech?
-
As long as they don't force them to listen to it.

He can choose not to play football, but why should he?
-
He can prosecute for harassment. This is different to free expression of ideas. This doesn't include forcing ppl to hear.
-
I am just saying hate speech is a thing, it's a form of violence.
-
It's verbal abuse if targetted at individuals. It's illegal and should be.
-
