I hold to ideals in our Declaration of Independence & Bill of Rights. That's firm ground for me & I think others on the right.

That's not a truth claim. Those documents actually exist. You think they're valuable. Others don't. This is reality.

Yeah I think those documents are the best way to organize a society. Others prefer the Koran, or Das Kapital, or other options.
