I gave up on idea of sleeping by 8 am. Working now. Insomnia is beyond a joke. Its a wonder I'm sane. (Shut up, certain men. Yes, you.)

Editing now. I do get a range. Currently learning more than I wish to know about the marketing strategies of Chanel.

I'm such a contrarian. Learning abt psychological marketing strategies makes me indignant & determined to resist such ploys!

I do enjoy this tho. Editing/proofreading things entirely outside my areas of study. A little taste of worlds I will never enter!

Also partially remedies my tendency to know loads about a tiny number of things and nothing about almost everything else.

I suffer from that too (though perhaps less) Lasts about a week where I sleep 2-3 hours a night. It's debilitating.

It really is. And it becomes self-perpetuating as you worry abt how you'll be the next day if you get another really bad night.

For me, its been since I stopped taking heavily sedating neuro meds at night time. Keep thinking it will fix itself but months

Possible you came off them too quickly? Worth speaking to Dr?

Came off slowly & insomnia increased slowly. Had to. Damaging kidneys. It might just take a bit longer. Brain too active.

Just standard advice about avoiding caffeine and screens after 6. I don't do the latter, I admit. Short-term sleeping pills.
