      That's not necessarily true. Its the purpose of the method but people have used it for all sorts of personal goals.

      right exactly, the point is that "science" doest have goals, objectives. It's a method. Like using algebra.

          Science can assist social justice eg by inventing contraception. We have to talk about the ethics of using it.

          Oh yes, social science can do these things. Not at all the same as the physical sciences. This tends to be ideological.

          the methods used are the same, it's all under the umbrella of science. Psychology is subtype of biology, neuroscience, etc.

          No, they're not. Most of social science is an embarrassment. My daughter is a medical anthropologist. Not allowed to use science.
