And we do this a lot. 'The baby is the size of a pea' at six weeks. 'I lost the baby' abt a first trimester miscarriage.

It's very normal to feel protectiveness & even love for an embryo thought of as a baby & deep grief if it is lost.

This matters because it shld influence how we try to get through to pro-lifers trying to obstruct reproductive freedom & change their minds.

It's no good telling them they're trying to control women's sexuality if they're not. You've missed an opportunity to talk abt gestation.

To try to get them to see the difference between a baby & an embryo or foetus. People are holding all kinds of misconceptions around this.

Need to listen to what they're saying. If it is abt abstinence & 'lie in the bed you made' & 'keep ur knees shut', it's about sexuality.

If its abt protecting babies and hearts beating & own children, it's coming from a care/harm impulse & needs addressing differently.
