No. I define a sceptic as someone who does their absolute best not to believe in things without evidence but we're all fallible.
I certainly decide on a case by case basis whether I'm going to investigate something enough to have a position on it.

That was what I thought you were suggesting. "I'll approach this sceptically but take that on faith." In this case, no.

There is a massive problem labelling anyone as a sceptic then. All you can ever show is they did it in particular cases.

I don't think so. We can label someone 'faithful' if this is the predominant attitude they take to positions they hold.

I wld consider someone a sceptic if when they take a position on a truth claim, its one they arrived at sceptically - thru evidence
