Well, yes.
I don't think so. Or I didn't mean to. I mean that when I need to assess whether something true or not, I do so sceptically.

I did not mean that I take it on myself to investigate every truth claim I come across.I'm happy 2 say 'Don't know much about that'
-
I'd count willingness to say 'don't know' as another indicator of scepticism being applied.
-
Definitely. I don't know if life exists elsewhere. I literally have no information on this. Many scientists think it probable.
-
So there is no point in 'believing' anything about this.
-
Do you see what I mean about 'believing in' things? That mindset? I used to do it. But need evidence for other things. Not now.

That is a case by case basis.
-
I certainly decide on a case by case basis whether I'm going to investigate something enough to have a position on it.
-
But in of things I have positions on, I don't decide on a case by case basis whether they'll be arrived at sceptically or not
-
That was what I thought you were suggesting. "I'll approach this sceptically but take that on faith." In this case, no.
