Some religious people get so angry & bitter when other people live fulfilling & meaningful lives without belief in god.

They need you to be miserable & unfulfilled & feel a sense of meaninglessness, so they can reassure themselves they have the meaning of life

This is one of the problems with religion. There can only be one meaning to ascribe to your life & ppl with different ones are a threat.

Deeply held religious belief, obv. Most ppl who believe in 'God' see the same meanings in life as everyone else - love, family, passions.

But I get this a lot: Ur life is meaningless &miserable w/out God! Not so much... U just think ur happy! Is that different to being happy?

People who make God-beliefs the source of meaning in their lives can't acknowledge that this is subjective. It must be the only meaning.

You don't see this in ppl who acknowledge the subjective nature of meaning. They can empathise with ppl being passionate abt other things.

Believers take all good & meaningful things in life & ascribe them to 'God' so they can't see how life w/out 'God' can be good or meaningful
